Frequently Asked Questions

Product Details & Warranty

What type of movement is used in the watches?

Tempo Di Lugano watches use one of two movements depending on the watch. The two types of movements in Tempo Di Lugano watches are Japanese Quartz Movement and Swiss Quartz Movements with the exception of one of our watches using a Mechanical Movement. Please check the details in the watch description to find out.

Is my watch waterproof?

All Tempo Di Lugano watches have a water resistance of either 3 ATM or 5 ATM. This means we recommend avoiding any contact with water, but a little splash of water won't hurt. We recommend avoiding wearing your watch while doing activities such as: swimming, diving, showering, bathing, or any other activity where the watch would be exposed directly to water. Please note that water damage is not covered by our three-year warranty.

What kind of stainless steel is used for the watches?

All Tempo Di Lugano watches use 316L surgical grade stainless steel, which is extremely corrosive resistant and ensures longevity with your watch.

How do I use my three-hand movement watch?

Gently pull the crown of the watch out and turn it to set the time. For our models that have a date function pull the crown out to the first position (you will hear a click) and turn to set the date. Pull the crown out to the second position (a second click) and turn to set the time.

How do I use my chronograph watch?

All of our chronograph watches come with a manual in the box on how to operate them.

What types of batteries do you use in your watches?

All of our watches feature standard silver-oxide button cell size batteries that can be found at most watch/jewelry stores.

How long should my watch battery last?

Typically the battery in all Tempo Di Lugano watches are expected to last 2-3 years depending on external factors such as the climate where your watch is.

Do Tempo Di Lugano watches come with a warranty?

All Tempo Di Lugano watches come with a unique, limited warranty that covers manufacture defects for three years after the original date of purchase. If the watch parts or mechanics don't work properly, and it's our fault, we will repair or replace your watch for free. However, this does not cover any abuse you might put your watch through on your own. The warranty does not cover water damage, normal wear and tear, batteries, accidental crystal damage, scratches, strap damage, or theft. We do require proof of purchase for all warranty claims and service requests so please keep your receipt.
